In February 2018, LinkedIn profiles of personnel from Bandai Namco Studios Singapore surfaced, with many mentioning that they were working on an unannounced, well-known IP exclusively for Switch. Persistent rumors in late 2017 suggested that Bandai Namco Entertainment is developing the game with assistance from Nintendo. Sylux was later seen in the secret ending of Federation Force, forcibly causing a Metroid Egg to hatch. I would like to cross the two over in the future. We've done a story based on the Hunters, and this time around we're doing a story on the Galactic Federation. In terms of story, Tanabe desired to further explore the background of Sylux, the anti- Galactic Federation Bounty Hunter from Metroid Prime Hunters, who he confirmed was the pilot of the mysterious spacecraft at the end of Corruption: "Personally I'd like to create a story centring around Sylux and Samus. Tanabe suggested that a fourth game might be set on a single planet and feature a time-shifting mechanic. While nothing is known yet of the game's plot, Tanabe had revealed some of his ideas for a future Metroid Prime game in an interview regarding Metroid Prime: Federation Force in 2015. For instance, I think I can come up with some unique ideas using the Morph Ball, which is a specific skill of Samus." Speaking to Kotaku in 2009 after the release of Metroid Prime Trilogy, Tanabe hinted at future Prime installments, and the potential to expand upon the multiplayer mode in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: "We will keep considering multiplayer for the Prime series. The game's original incarnation was described as "return to the first-person adventure roots of the original Metroid Prime game and introduc a new storyline that ties together the events of the Metroid Prime universe and takes the storyline in new directions," though it is unclear whether these plans have changed with the game's development being restructured. In January of 2019, it was announced through the Nintendo Switch news system that the game's development was not living up to the standards of the series, and so development had been restarted from scratch with Retro Studios working under Tanabe instead. The game was originally developed by a "talented new development team" led by Kensuke Tanabe, the longtime producer of the Prime series. ![]()

They are identified, grouped together, and pulled from the rest of a retailer’s particular submission. While most coupons are shredded at the end of their “life cycle,” gang-cut coupons don’t make it that far. Along the way, several automated systems are designed to identify gang-cut coupons and remove them from the mix. How does the redemption agent identify gang-cut coupons, when thousands of loose coupons are processed each day by clearinghouses? Debbie Settle of Inmar, one of the largest redemption agents and clearinghouses in the country, gave a detailed presentation about the “life” of a coupon, from the time it’s created until the time it reaches the clearinghouse. If the coupons are identified as gang-cut, they’re flagged, and the manufacturer does not have to reimburse. Gang-cutting is of concern to manufacturers for several reasons. Gang-cutting still exists today, but the spotlight is also on consumer gang-cutting. Manufacturers naturally decided that they did not want to redeem gang-cut coupons, as gang-cutting was indicative that the coupons had not been distributed directly to customers in the newspaper. The Breen sting raised awareness that large-scale gang-cutting and misredemption existed. What does this have to do with today’s consumers? (At the ACP conference, presenter Ron Fischer, founder of Redemption Processing Representatives, actually had one of these Breen detergent coupons in his hand while telling this story!) Over 117,000 coupons for the non-existent Breen detergent were submitted for redemption from that single ad campaign, giving investigators specific information as to which stores, retailers and firms were gang-cutting on a massive scale. However, with coupon usage on the rise, gang-cut coupons are again causing issues for manufacturers and retailers alike.
